The standard GAF warranty provides 10 years of 100% coverage over material defects on shingles. Upgraded warranties provide up to 50 years of coverage on the entire roofing system.
The standard warranty also covers the cost of installation for 10 years. Higher warranties cover the installation for a lifetime. Your GAF vinyl siding comes with a lifetime product warranty.
Will the workmanship be covered?
GAF’s Golden Pledge® Ltd. Warranty is perhaps your best warranty when it comes to roofing. In many cases, a contractor will not be in business long enough for your regular warranty to still be in effect in case you need it. Many contractors go out of business in five years. But with GAF’s Golden Pledge Ltd. Warranty, you are covered for up to 25 years on the workmanship, whether your contractor is still in business or not. You have to work with a GAF Master Elite contractor like Signature Exteriors, though, because contractors that don’t carry the certification cannot offer the Golden Pledge Ltd. Warranty.
